Russian government wants to keep payroll tax at 30% through 2020

MOSCOW, Sep 29 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has approved keeping the payroll tax at 30% through 2020, according to a statement seen by PRIME on the Web site of the government on Friday.

“The draft laws (approved by the government on Monday) offer to keep the tariff of the payroll tax to government’s non-budget funds for the main category of payers at the current level, or at 30%,” according to the document.

The Finance Ministry earlier offered to set an equal 22% rate for the payroll tax and value-added tax, now at 18%.
